I picked that up yesterday on the Macbook...

MacFriar told me he got it last week - I had checked on Saturday and got nothing and this afternoon the Software update Icon started bouncing vigorously in the Dock.

Wonder why it's come out at 3 different times - odd ?

I'm not entirely sure, but I think I got notifications of the update for the Vista versions a day before the the OS X ones... the ways of Apple are strange indeed

Did you say Vis... - I can't even type that word . I don't believe my eyes

I needed a laptop and couldn't afford a Macbook

A situation now remedied... my SO uses the Vista machine when she's staying with me, for some unaccountable reason she prefers IE7.
