Ghost Junk Mail

For the best part of two weeks now I have received at least one email a day with no contents. Absolutely nothing at all except for the time. Once opened there is nothing, every field is blank. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this is or why.

Its just spam, they are sending it without any from, subject or body, a blank email. I get quite a few of these into my Gmail account.
