Hello ConorMK,

You can download a very old version of IE (version 5). But it may not be compatible with your OS X operating system. There is no new versions of IE for Apple, sorry to say.

It's no longer produced for the Mac. A very old version is available here but I really wouldn't bother. Have you tried Opera?

You can install Windows, either on a PC, or in Bootcamp or a virtual machine on an Intel-based Mac. I run IE for browser compatibility testing in a Parallels virtual machine running Windows XP.

I believe it's also possible to use Crossover to run IE on an Intel-based Mac without installing Windows, but I haven't tried this.

Tell her to shut up and get used to it.

IE on Mac is ancient and a big security risk.

In Parallels you should be able to install Parallels tools from the Virtual Machine menu once you are logged in to Windows. If fact, in my experience, you get a prompt to do so. Does your logged in Windows account have the Admin level of authority?
