iWeb problem

[link to this post]

Since Saturday morning I've been having problem with iWeb.

Updated my Site - and published - all went OK.

Then discovered another change needed to be done - went back and and changed that , saved as usual - no problems

THEN hit the Publish button

and got this

Couldnt reach the MobileMe configuration server. Try publishing again later.

Still can't get there - have even tried using Ethernet rather than Wireless.

Has anyone else had this ?

Anyone know of a solution ?

Hi Goldie smile

It looks to me, from that message that the servers are down/acting up. Have you tried contacting Apple directly, to see if this is the case, and if so, whether they have an estimated fix time?

HTH.

EDIT:
Here's a traceroute I did to me.com

Thanks - that was going to be my next move.

Haven't a clue about your traceroute - does it show any problems ? That's all 'greek' to me

Hi again Goldie,

From what I can tell from the traceroute, it seems to be all okay, as a traceroute to apple.com ends at the same last hop, so I'd think that the me.com servers and apple.com servers are co-hosted.

Give Apple a ring and see what light they can shed on the issue.

Good luck. smile

Problem solved - seems occasionally iWeb goes in a 'huff' and won't publish , giving that message.

Seems that providing you save and then quit , and relaunch it - it will play nicely again smile

And it did .

I was going to say that ever since I can remember, iWeb has never allowed me to publish and given me a dialog box that says...

<Done>

it has always given a message like you got, but.....

...it always seemed to upload the new site!?!

I've stopped worrying about it!!
