I suspect it will. It's what you get with most software that is aimed primarily at a business market. MS knows this which is why they have now separated off MS Project from Office. They may well now sell Office for home users at a knock down price, but it doesn't include Outlook/Exchange integration, which comes at a premium price and now expect Project as a stand alone product will eventually cost nearly as much as the whole office package you could once buy with it included.

As a home user I've got no overpowering need for anything like AutoCAD... but some fond memories.

Can't remember the version (12?), but used it a few times at work before I retired. Not the easiest program to get to grips with as I recall, but if you wanted to do something it wasn't "Can AutoCAD do it?" but "Where the hell have they hidden the tool?".

Ah well... crazy

The thing is that most of those tools have no icon or menu item. Instead you type them in. Of course, if you don't know what to type in they remain forever opaque. Once you do understand this and what it is asking (and giving hints for the answers to) in the command line window it's much easier to deal with.
