Hi all,
Can anyone please recommend an iPhone Sat Nav app which allows routing options for cyclists, please?
I've tried 3D City Drive, but that doesn't give cycle specific routing.
Thanks in advance.

Navigon might be good for you, as is TomTom?
You can try them out for free iirc.

Thanks Guesty,
I just checked the iTunes store and neither of those apps is free.
Oh well, back to searching

As far as I remember, there are lite versions available for them both - I bought the navigon first, then TomTom when that was out.
They are both good - look on youtube to see which one suits you best?

TomTom is extremely good, but extremely expensive; but updates have been frequent and its quite impressive.
I assume for Cyclists you'd almost use the "walking route" option, as there isn't a specific cycle speed?

Actually, what I'm after, to be more concise, is a GPS application, which would offer me routing options along shared/designated pedestrian/cyclist routes, such as the green way in London, as well as/instead of the usual A&B road routing I'd normally get.

After you posted last night, I double checked the itunes store, but as I said before, both of those apps you mentioned, required payment.

I doubt you'd even find a map database with that information on it...
Can't speak for London, but I rang up my local council once for a map or list of the footpaths and cycleways that they'd put through the local housing estates.
They didn't have one

EDIT: The part of National Route 6 in St Albans, I mapped, using Trails on the iPhone.

Maps won't load properly here... looks interesting though, I'll try again later. Thanks.
