Has anyone else installed this (on the latest OS X update).

The new Twitter client is quite nice

It installed on the MacBook without me noticing- hadn't used it for a few weeks so thought I'd better catch up, but didn't read the notes before hitting "Install".

Looks like an easier way for Apple to part you from your money, but haven't really looked closely at it yet.

Anything to do with Twitter or Facebook is likely to get ignored here

Aperture price cut to £45 (£120(?) on DVD), iLife apps at £8.99 each (and a la carte - the DVD costs £45 for all three).

The Twitter app will be OK once it lets you create and manage lists.

But from what I have seen, save a lot of money too.

Aperture 3 at that price point is very good value.

I've no quarrel with the fact that there are good savings to be made, it was a reaction based on seeing something you like in a sale and thinking "Ooh, that's a good price, I'll buy that".

It may well be excellent value, but it's still also an easier way for Apple to part you from your money- internet shopping is far too convenient

But even though I can't touch-type, they're not getting 24 quid out of me for a copy of Mavis Beacon...

So if it's good value you might buy it, if it isn't you won't.

In real life, most people show a sense of humour.

Installed, quick to browse but when I go to "buy" anything I get an error message with no error code @errorCode@ or something.

Signed out and in again, no luck.

Update: Working now, must be due to demand?

A must-have, and it is a 'must', is Angry Birds -

Just spent 45 minutes playing it after first opening the App store. All the more reason for giving SJ some cash. It's a treat on the 15" MBP.

Love it.

Played through AB on my phone, so not really for me.

But Aperture proved too good a deal to resist.
