Tried both of those - hasn't worked for me. frown

ALL radio programmes are saying they're not available. Been clicking them at random, to see if I could find even one that works, but haven't been successful yet.

I'd nip in to see a Genius at an Apple Store. You're out west aren't you? Is Cribb's Causeway anywhere near you?

Yep.

I've never tried the clinic in there, but I could give it a go on Saturday, if I haven't managed to sort it by then.

Worth grabbing the Apple Store app from the app store - you can book genius appointments on it (as I found out to my great relief last week when the Nvdia chip on my MBP went boobs uppards - awesome customer service too).

I don't think that Linux can run on an IPad, so that comment is fairly irrelevant.

I did find a thread where some people were having this problem, but only with Radio 4. Turned out that it was a DNS problem which was solved by using OpenDNS or the Google DNS servers rather than their ISP's one. Might be worth a try.

Already using Google DNS, so it aint that one! Maybe I should go back to the ISP's one, but that was never very successful, which was why I changed in the first place.

Yes, I can find several threads where iPlayer spontaneously stopped working properly, after weeks of successful use.

However, none of them seem to be very recent, and none seem to be the exact same problem. I've seen problems about TV only, Radio 4 only, but not about all radio programmes, always. What's more, none of them had a solution. There are tantalising hints, in places, that "The BBC is aware of an issue...", but those forums got closed down in the BBC budget cuts, so no further narrative.

Works fine on Windows 7 and on Symbian, too.

So I can be reasonably confident it's not my router set-up, as that is doing its stuff - at least sufficient for other devices to understand it.

Ah well. Let's hope the Apple guys can sort it out for you. Do let us know what they say the problem is.
