That might be OK if you only need 10/100Mbps, but I'd think it's a bit close over a 12 metre length... have a look (or post a question) in the Home Networking forum here.

Probably a bit OTT for what you need, but there's thread here that might give you some ideas/links.

Just to update...

TP-211 Powerline kit bought from Amazon with the help of a GBP20 voucher I got for being a smarty pants at work!!

so only cost me GBP19 and works a treat, even though one is on an extension cable and the other on a spur!!
