Cannot see wood from the trees?

I can't find the archive folder in Mail 5.1. It says it's there but I want to see it in the mailboxes pane. What am I doing wrong? Or is the archive folder something that should be seen in Finder?

Thanks, I don't know what I did but the archive folder has appeared. Perhaps it was the hide button
