It's a trojan not a virus, there is a huge difference.

Flashback can't gain root/administrator control without user input. Still a concern though that Safari can be so easily hijacked.


The majority of malware on Windows as well requires user input. In fact the anti-malware industry pretty much says that the reason for anti-malware software is to provide a popup to REMIND USERS they shouldn't click install. blush

Good reason to keep computers in the labs with trained staff. "Ordinary users" should be given pens and paper wink
