I wasn't at all bothered, I have the cables I need and would only buy Apple anyway.

I love the iMAC but the Mac Mini looks like a really decent bit of kit too. Would match the Time Capsule and APE stacked on top of each other

My NAS of choice is the Lacie 5Big Network 2, 15TB jobbie, lovely bit of kit.

I mean an SSD drive for the Apple and a separate NAS for your data storage, but then it all depends how much you store.

Oh, I see what you mean. Conventional hard disks are plenty fast enough for me, but NAS is just too slow. I do have a separate NAS (home built) for TM backups, and also to backup data from other computers, but I wouldn't use it for primary data storage.

Yes I think as far as Windows is concerned, it does tend to need all the help it can get
