Apple TV upgrade

[link to this post]

Xela's thread reminded me... I got an email pointing me to this site earlier today.

Possibly of interest to those with the 720p version of the Apple TV 2.

It is, rather crazy

But I had occasion to visit the Newbury branch and they seemed helpful, knowledgeable and efficient, as you'd expect from a recognised dealer.

Must be a lucrative business, as the 2nd generation units are selling for a fortune on Ebay as you can easily jailbreak them. You can buy a 3rd generation new, far cheaper than a 2nd generation that is second hand.

Yes .... but if you sell the Apple TV on eBay you will probably get £150ish...

(as you know, Apple TV 3 cannot be jailbroken so those wanting to run XBMC want an Apple TV 2 and will pay handsomely for it )
