Done it - a bit on the slow side at the end - only snag was remembering one of my passwords smile

Green desktop has been changed - now a decent shade of blue - not as attention seeking.

MacMail seems to be OK as does everything else I've tried smile

My desktop is blue anyway- you can change it in SysPrefs => General. I don't remember changing it when I installed ML, but maybe I did crazy

I'm glad its working for you, seems to be a bit variable for some reason. I still think I'll leave it tongue

Oh I'd changed it in Mountain too

This green for Mavericks really made me unhappy - the top menu bar was hectic - couldn't stand it - as soon as mail was open it was into Prefs and choose a better [ to my mind] desktop

Ive installed it on two iMacs a Macbook Pro and a Macbook Air with no problems except a small one with gmail.
My work uses google apps (I know we are a charity and its now free in the UK), The issue was that on everything except the Macbook Air my Inbox was fine but on the Macbook Air could I get it to show all my messages in the inbox! I use IMAP and did a search around. It was suggested to go into settings for gmail in the web version and under Labels in System Labels remove the tick from All Mail - show in IMAP and hey presto I now have all my emails in Macmail on my Macbook Air (There must be something not quite right but at least its working for now).

Still no problems - first Time Machine Back up did seem to take ages - the SuperDuper one had no problem.

Everything still fine this am. Even got a couple of things to update this morning - Aperture and Camera RAW - no problem with them either.

It was done yesterday morning early New York time by my Pal over there - he's had no problems since either smile

OK. I've done further testing on the crash that I mentioned and it is consistently reproducible. The machine locks solid with (apparently) 100% CPU usage. It can be pinged but not reached via any other means. It's a long time since I saw behaviour like this on any operating system, and I've used plenty.

I suspect that the problem is being caused by the Intel HAX driver, but an OS that cannot recover from an error in a third-party application is of little use to me. Back to Mountain Lion until either Apple or Intel come up with a solution.

Windows NT 3.51 locked up if a backup was scheduled to an internal DAT tape drive and the inserted tape was write protected.

When my team reported this to Microsoft they responded; "Dang, if I didn't think this report was bogus when it first came in but we've been able to reproduce it. It's a bad one." smile

I think yours falls into that category too.

Typical APE attempt at trashing Apple.

I suspect you do not even have any Apple equipment, or are capable of using it.
