I have a white 2009 13" macbook, it boots ok from external drives, but the internal drive is totally dead, no noise or vibration, i have tried another HDD that is the same, i have tried both drives in usb enclosure and they both fire up but are not recognised. Does the fact that they don't even fire up in the macbook point to a fault with the macbook, would they still fire up but not be recognised, or not fire up at all. Any advice would be much appreciated, as i don't want to waste money buying a new drive for that not to work either.
