I use the magic track pad. However, from the playlist screen there is a + to add a new play list in the bottom left and an Edit or an Add To button towards the top right all of which I can access with my magic mouse.

As for my FTTP saga, BT Retail have cancelled and reinstated my order 3 times. I have had another survey done and am awaiting a call back on 11th November to get an update. I feel that I am being told half truths by people who do not understand. Anyway I live in hope that you may one day come and complete my installation but I am not holding my breath as to exactly when.

I tried a second account and iTunes fails to load on that too.

Sounds like you need to sue Terminal to uninstall it (and then remove all Application Support and prefs files) and start from scratch. This relates to earlier versions, but should work. http://osxdaily.com/2011/09/13/delete-itunes-in-mac-...

But it might be better to find your nearest Genius Bar and let them fix it.

Haven't had any problems with iTunes (12.0.1.26) loading under Yosemite. It must have been installed as part of the Yosemite installation process as I seem to recollect the iTunes icon was blue prior to the Yosemite installation and is now red.

I do not use iTunes much on this iMac as it is my 'sacrificial' unit for testing new software.

Used the following which removed iTunes and I was then able to reinstall. iTunes now loads normally.

Thanks for the link.

Launch the Terminal (located in /Applications/Utilities/
Type the following commands to kill iTunes:
killall iTunes

Now kill the Helper process:
killall "iTunes Helper"

Now to delete the actual application, use this command:
sudo rm -rf /Applications/iTunes.app/
