poor browsing on IPAD

Hi, since upgrading to ios 8, browsing on my ipad is poor ie pages do not change quickly, freezes etc. I have no problems on corresponding pages on my pc. I am thinking of downgrading to ios 7.( my ipad is the retina ver). I also reset it with no improvement.

As a quick check, restart the iPad, and check how much free memory there is.

Storage shows 8.6 gb and available 3.9 gb.. I have not added any apps since the upgrade, so I cannot blame an app.

Have you done a "hard reset" - power off > power back on while holding the home button (it is harmless but seems to kill rogue processes).

yes, I have done that, it is mentioned in my first posting.. I am noticing that if I press harder, there is an improvement. I think Apple want people to upgrade their IPAD. The new IOS may require faster proceesor.

Obvious question: which model is it?

Hi, model: MD510B/A. It is the one with the retina display.

That's the same as mine and I'm having no issues.

I suspect it might be 'back up and factory restore' time.

Yea the wifes iPad, the last one with the 30pin connector,3?, is working fine too.
Delete all your cookies, history etc in the safari settings.

I had similar issues with iPad Air. I use a home hub 5 for Internet. What worked for me was to turn off the 5ghz wireless output on the router the iPad is now ok.
