FREE OCR

Any recommendations for 'free' OCR web sites?
Some "free" sites used in the past have only a limited number of pages "free" - then they start wanting money.

MacBook Pro 10.8.5 [ cannot see any benefit in updating OS yet ].

If you have a scanner take a look at the Vuescan software - it does OCR.

The above web site seems to work well for typed text .

It has the advantages of :

1 being FREE

2 NOT needing to download any software to one's own computer.
