icloud backing up

Dont own an iphone but my sisters boyfriend does and got an issue with it. Does the iphone automatically backup videos you take when on wifi, and if so can you turn it off?

He came over to our house today and when on the wifi it would just crawl (only get 1mbps up so its noticable if something is uploading) Managed to find the culprit was his iphone, and it was uploading loads of data somewhere. He did take a video this morning, so could it be that video that is automatically uploading to icloud and killing my connection while it does?

He needs to turn off "Photostream" - it's in the settings but can't remember exactly where as don't have an iDevice on me.

How did he get access to your WiFi?

I gave him access that wasnt a problem.
