BBC ACCOUNT - REAL OR SCAM?

Recently received an email claiming to be from BBC.

" Hello,
We noticed you haven�t used your BBC account for a while. We�re going to be updating our Privacy Policy on the 28th of September, and part of that update will be to close down inactive accounts that have not been used in over a year. This is to ensure we do not keep data for longer than we need to."

Anyone know if this is a valid BBC request or not?

No idea for sure - safer to delete for safety's sake.

With no links I see no reason to suspect a scam. The best way to be sure is to look at the headers to see what mail server it was sent by.

If there is a link to log inot your account do not use it, just log into your account as normal. i have a BBC account and I have not used it for months and I have not had that email to be honest/
