I don't want it on my windows machine, so I certainly would not have it on my Apple machine.
The company I work for seems to think I need Teams, I tell them I don't, and I won't, I do not need Teams, or yammer to do my job.

I guess this wouldn't be a good time to mention that OneDrive*sync client for MacOS has been AS optimised since the middle of February wink

LOL,

I don't use that either, I don't use online storage services, I used to use Dropbox now and again, but not these days.

Yep I know wink

To be fair I do use Teams quite a bit (and OneDrive) and this is something that I’ve been waiting patiently for. My teenage kids basically lived on Teams for school work over the lockdowns too, but they flipped to mostly using it on their tablets and phones mostly but still use it on their laptops for some course work and assignments.

I did think that MS simply wouldn’t bother and would stick to the browser model for MacOS. It’s still in beta but seems to be OK - other than needing Rosetta to install the thing. Do’h someone dropped the ball there, which should hopefully get fixed before the release candidate.

There’s only few more apps that I’m now waiting to go universal/AS friendly. To be fair the ones still using Rosetta are generally fine, with the exception of one Synology app I use - Surveillance Station client which is still x86-64 and that does warm the cores up slightly when 16 cameras are being reviewed at once in real time at 30 fps each.

I know Teams is a thing for college, uni and some work places. i did not know they used it for Schools. A bit over the top to be honest, not all parents can afford to buy their kids smartphones or computers.

They keep trying to get us to use Teams at work, I refuse as i don't feel it is needed for my work, I am not the only one who don't use it, the same as Yammer.
I only use one drive at work, I store the waste transfer sheets in it already filled in , well mostly.
I don't really use file cloud storage, I do have a drop box account, but I use it once in a blue moon since I got the NAs.

I am still deciding on what I am doing computer wise when I update, still putting money aside, i have got enough to buy a Mac mini or update this one, but I am still waiting to see what Apple will do with the MAc mini, also the longer i wait, the better machine I can get without digging into my normal savings.

Always good to know, had to use it the other day for a call - deleted it afterwards. Might leave it one once it's out of beta. Just wished adobe would sort the Creative Cloud stuff out now - the main apps I use are fine, but the actual CC update/checking in tool still runs on Intel. I've managed to dig out where most of automatically runs from, so I just get the intel things loaded when I use the products.

It has been OK on my machine so far, but other have reported issues/artefacts with video - black and white video or a green band present part way down. So MS have some bugs to squash yet.
