Apple Intelligence, iOS 18.1 and MacOS 15.1 Sequoia

Apple Intelligence is available today on iPhone, iPad, and Mac

All I want to know about AI is how to turn it off... being retired, I don't need it for anything I do and I'm far from convinced it's ready for prime time.

Ask it how it can be turned off. If it tells you, then it ain't clever enough to be any good. And if it refuses to tell you, it is too devious so you should smash the device.

And if it's really clever it will pretend to switch itself off.

So smash the device anyway. You can't beat human stupidity.

It bothers me that it uses social media posts to build the data for its "intelligence"...

From reaction I've seen people are find notification summaries and conversation summaries really helpful.

Bear in mind: not available in UK unless you set your region to US ansd not all features released.

As you say - not Apple Intelligence (which a lot of people have been beta testing, and I suspect this wouldhave been all over the socials if it was a thing).

I think it is pretty limited and on the Mac and I think on Iphone it will ask you if you want to use it.
Over the next few months it will not be so limited, but at least Apple is not pushing it onto people
