15.1 is nice and stable.

I have still seen posts in different places and on videos of people having some problems. I have never reverted to an older OS on a Mac, on a PC, I can do it with my eyes close, not sure how easy it would be on a Mac.
As I said, I am in no rush, gone are the days when I had to have the latest OS on my computer

In an interview with Linus Torvalds recently, he pans the current state of the AI marketplace as “90% marketing and 10% reality.” Pretty fair comment.

There’s little to be frightened of really in the MacOS 15 upgrade.

I’ve been running Sequoia now on a couple of different Macs and it’s presented no headaches other than those mentioned above - basically 3rd party stuff that hasn’t caught up.

For me it’s been stable from the get go, with this 15.1 iteration now being the 2nd update since the original release.

I am not frightened of it, just have no need to update to it at the moment, and prefer to make sure it is super stable before I do.

The one thing I am a bit worried about is the AI stuff that is coming on it, but if Apple keeps to their promise and make it hidden until we want it, then that is fine

When I do update, I will want to search pout how to go back to an earlier OS version. Never done it on the mac.

Macworld write up of the revert / rollback process is pretty good. In all cases you’re wiping your Mac completely and reinstalling the previous version + user files. Just depends what your starting off position is / what backups you have pre and post the version of MacOS you’re running.

Have a read of the article to get the process and option clear in your mind. It’s been a few years since I’ve done it.

Thanks for that, it may come in useful, but still going to wait until next year before i update.
