What appears to be worse is the money was all venture capital... but now we see the likes of Nvidia investing in companies buying Nvidia product, so its now circular. The money will break it eventually, maybe when the US has a change of administration.

You like I probably worked and lived through the last real IT bubbles we had 25+ years ago - I keep getting told “…you’re wrong, this time it’s different” usually by younger idiots that weren’t born then and have no life experience of this and just believe in the [censored]..

Pretty much, started doing IT for paid work in the mid 1990s, saw the Y2K inspired massive equipment replacement, then the crash of vendors as the realisation hit this wasn't a "new normal" of business expenditure. The current race to the bottom is frustrating given how many pension funds invest in IT companies.
