4G Mobile Broadband Modem

[link to this post]

I've been doing some research on different 4G data plans I can get through the big US cellular carriers and am thinking I'm going to use a modem that can connect to a cellular signal and share it with my network. I'm looking for a modem that will fit the build. I want it fast enough that the network is the speed bottleneck, not the hardware. And must have antenna inputs so I may wire external antennas where best fit.

Just to be clear, I'm not looking for a mobile broadband hotspot. I want to use my own router setup for wireless. Simply need the gateway from cellular to ethernet. Anyone know of any well reviewed hardware for this purpose?

As you are in the USA, the models that are suitable will be different to those mostly on this UK based forum. This is because the mobile frequencies are different.

You will also need to find out if your cellular networks mind if you move the LTE SIM card into a modem, from a handset plan. Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint.

You may have more luck on DSLreports.com, or the Sprint specific https://s4gru.com/ site.

Good luck!
