Routers that allow band selection

I am looking to get a 4g (or 5 if cheap enough) router.

1) I want to be able to manually select the bands in use. Incase of band 20 being used instead of band 3 etc.

2) Ideally would like 2.4/5ghz to be merged.

I was leaning towards the TP Link MR600 but the TPLink forums and amazon suggest manual band selection isnt possible frown

Grateful for any suggestions!
