E367 Dongle

After I install this on my Windows 7 desktop, power off at the mains the dongle continues to install driver/s and in device manager shows as Huawei Modem #2 Why #2?

Also keeps disconnecting even though connection manager says is connected

If your laptop has 2 USB ports and you've plugged the modem into each of the two slots at some time it might well have installed two modems one for each "port" - I generally find with USB things it's generally better to try and put the devices into the same ports each time.

The disconnection issue sounds like something else. I get something similar if I try T-Mobile here, it keeps wandering between what looks like 3 cells. Three is pretty solid.

I just bought one of these modems and I'm seeing 3Mbps to 5Mbps down and 1.5Mbps up which is a vast improvement on the old E220 and that's with 3 bar strength @ 2.5km from the cell.
