I was thinking of doing this, but not sure if I would be charged or not so wanted to make sure before I purchased it. Is this definitely the case?

I am wanting to do this but conscious that you can only use a mobile phone to tether with. The problem being that I need to use a roof top Ariel to get a 3g signal. Is there a way I can still do this?
