I've been thinking of doing tethering as our home fixed line broadband is so slow (<1mb) but I would need a 3G HSPA+ phone that I can leave permanently at home.

I know they have the MiFi router but I think that is only very limited data...

So anyone know the cheapest way of doing this?

i.e. the cheapest 3G HSPA+ phone that you can tether to, by bluetooth or wifi, on a monthly all-you-can-eat plan from Three?

me again! what about this... frustrated by three keep cutting off my data - i'm on the 12.90 rolling monthly (europa) I spent twenty mins trying to cancel my contract. after that I hung up and resolved to try another day. With great joy I put the sim back into my sony g502. just for experiment I tried to tether via bluetooth (the connectors knackered else i'd tether usb. its faster). and it all worked. even filesharing and torrent sites that had been blocked before.
so why can i tether without restriction on one phone, and with the same sim be blocked on another? it makes my head hurt

my europa has been unlocked and rooted, but is not in rooted state now. I don't want to pay 25 quid a month but would like to tether, computers, tablets, etc.
is there a change I can make to the apn to allow this. i didn't think three could detect tether but they keep cutting me (also when using adownloader on phone
