Recommendation for 3g tablet

I have been asked by my father to find him a 3g tablet, and a suitable 3g data plan (contract or PAYG)

I dont know much about the 3g side of things for tablets so i am asking for help here for both tablet and data plan.

The basic reqiuirement so far is -

10" tablet for internet and email.
Will be used at places possibly without wifi hence 3g
he doesnt have a smart phone nor wants one
he will only probably need a minimal amount of data for email/internet so paygmight be ok? or a tablet with a sim slot and low priced sim contract?
Budget, £250 max for the tablet sound enough?

£250 max if you want a good tablet and 10" screen you are pushing things, more likely to get a 3G capable 7" device

e.g. Google Nexus 7 - or Samsung Galaxy Tab 2

10" with 3G pushes price to £350 and upwards

I have a Ipad and google Nexus 7 which is awesome Android device.You can get a nexus 10 but they seem hard to find in Currys/Pc World and you would be best getting that online.

Problem is i think with a nexus 10 you are talking £300 and a nice 32 gig nexus 7 would cost you £199.

I there a 3g version of the nexus 10?

Seems the budget may have to stretch a little!

any views on the data plans?

Galaxy Tab 2 10" can have 3G for around £400

you could get a 3G "mi-fi" thingy which provides a wi-fi hotspot from a 3G signal - that way you don't pay over the odds for the tablet. It's also handy sometimes to have the mi-fi in a window or on a high shelf to get a good signal.

CPW web site has a tablet finder where you can specify 3G to find what offers it.

Get a wifi tablet and a 3G router, this way you save cash and get a better tablet, in addition to you can move your 3G attachment to any other apparatus AND you get better battery life.

3G tablets are not steady and cost you at least 50-80USD more. buy used phone equipmentservice provider can help you.
