Slow data on O2

Is anyone else thats on O2 getting very slow H/H+ (3G) speeds?

Im getting around 10/20k and thats it. Been like it for a few days and even the Staff in a local O2 store were getting the same [censored] speed.

Probably a problem with a local mast / masts.

My step dad is normally quick moan a about how slow O2 is but he didn't mentioned it when calling last night.

I find O2 speeds are always awful, the max I have seen is 4meg, whereas friends on three get 16meg in city centre of Belfast

Would be happy to make 10 on o2, never managed to get better than 8. My 3 sim gives me 20+.

I can manage 23 down and 3 up with 02 at the moment.

I just got http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/749345532 on 3 in my house with full signal which is pretty average for me in the daytime. If it's after 12 then maxes out at 10-15 Mbps. Some places I've had 20 - 25 Mbps in the day, so it all depends where you are at.

Note: It's DC-HSPA+ here, so it's technically capable of much faster speeds.

I'd be over the moon to get 8!

This is fairly typical for me:
Down: 2.3Mbps
Up: 0.32Mbps

Pretty much feels like an old fixed 2Mbps DSL connection to use too!

Signal quality is the problem for me, forever switching between 3G+ and 3G, even though the mast is only 5 minutes walk away.

No alternatives either really - Vodafone barely manages to hold onto GPRS and Three give no service at all.

All the local masts to me have always had terrible speed between 2-4.5mbps down and around 1mbps up, recently they activate DC-HSPA on theem but still on getting same maybe 6 at 3 in the morning but the upload has increase to between 1.7-2.2mbps.

I've taken my phone everywhere with me in the UK and wether signal is max or decent the speed is always [censored].. Even their 4G in Birmingham isn't that good though on the week f activation I did 42mbps down and around 15mbps up but that was standing just metres from mast, at home the signal is barely achievable as the closest mast is 2-3 miles away and that was in August 2013 and still no improvement, Vodafone 4G however is rolling out really fast with new mast going live by me last week and now full coverage and good speeds at my address.

I get around 0.1 to 0.3Mbps download and around 1Mbps upload 100% of the time, No mater if im at home, out in Chester or Wrexham. Same speed.

I have reset my phone, updated the firmware etc and even had a new sim card from O2.

I will be trying another network's sim in my phone and testing my sim in another phone to se if its my phone thats at fault.

At the moment i would be happy to get anything on o2 at all, for the last two weeks i have had no service at all, the local mast has developed a fault, and still don't know when service will be restored, but am still getting good speeds on 3 who have announced they are bringing 4G to two towns around here this year.
