I am using SMARTY (Three) in a rural location and getting a weak 4G signal with no carrier aggregation (no 4G+ symbol on mobile).
With a TP Link Archer MR200 I am getting 8/2 Mbps.
Tethering to my Samsung Galaxy S9 I am getting 30/5 Mbps.
The TP Link is a CAT 4 (150/50) modem verus a CAT 18 (1200/200) modem in the S9.
I am considering upgrading to the Huawei B628 which is CAT 12 (603/102).
It is reasonable to expect the Huawei to perform more closely to the S9 given the modem upgrade?
I have read similar posts on here to try and understand. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
