Belkin wireless print server

[link to this post]

Does the Belkin Wireless G USB print server require a Belkin wireless router to work, or will it work with any wireless G router. The packaging is a bit vague on this. The front of the box warns that you must have a wireless router but does not specify any make, however, all the instructions on the back refer to a Belkin wireless router. When I was using it I had a Belkin router anyway so it wasn't an issue, but I'm thinking of selling it.

Hi!

If you are working strictly to the 802.11g standard, you don't need to use a Belkin router with your Belkin wireless print server. Infact, this wireless print server can exist in any wireless cloud provided by a router or access point provided by any vendor.

Often what happens is that the vendor tends to prefer one to set up a network with devices made by themselves and illustrate network segments based just on their devices.

With regards,

Simon Mackay
