Can anybody explain this to me please

[link to this post]

hi
can anybody explain what this means below. I am with AOL, using a Netgear DG834Gv2.
I have copied this from the log on the Netgear Site. Or, can anybody point me to a site that explains things like this. I am reading this site, looking for info.
regards

Do you have low SNR meaning that you keep resyncing? My Safecom router does something similar to this when my SNR drops and I get resyncs. Can you give us your SNR and attenuation figures?

DSL light is on I guess as you are syncing at 576/288 better noise margin than my line so not that. MTU should be set for 1400 but that shouldn't stop authentication, but worth setting anyway, you probably won't get any web access to AOL without setting it to 1400. Guessing that you have VPI=0 and VCI=38 already set and you are using PPPoA VcMux too. There seem to be a number of LCP issues with Netgears on google
