Getting information on Network Status & devices

[link to this post]

I have a wireless repeater that seems to work fine, but while on my iBooks I can see whether the computer is picking up the repeater or the base station (I can see the id of the device being used under "Network Connections") I don't know how I can get this information on a PC - I've tried everything but haven't been able to find it on my own, and the signal strength seems to fluctuate so can't tell just by looking at that - ideally if it's picking up both signals I want to tell it to pick up the repeater (which should be the stronger signal).

regards

Martin

Many wireless cards have a utility on the driver CD which should do what you want.
