Hi, I've just changed to TalkTalk broadband yesterday, and the first thing that I found odd was how high my latency was for World of Warcraft.
It starts at around 30ms then shoots up to 500+, normally settling at 1000ms. Which is, quite obviously, unplayable.
Originally I thought it was just TalkTalk's fault, however I changed to my faithful old Speedtouch 330 wired modem, and everything was fine! So I guess it is something wrong with my router...
So I would appreciate it if someone could tell me how to tweak my wireless router, so I can have low latency again XD.
I've already tried tweaking the MTU using DoctorTCP (I think).
I'm on LLU if that helps, using a phone extension and a Huawei EchoLife HG520s wireless router. Here are some specs, not sure if they are important or not, but they might be helpful.
Data Path Interleaved
Operation Mode ADSL2+
Bandwidth Down/Up(kbps) 8008 / 443
SNR Margin Down/Up(dB) 14.7 / 26.2
Attenuation Down/Up(dB) 28.0 / 15.8
Power Down/Up(dBm) 0.0 / 12.3
CRC Down/Up 10 / 65483
FEC Down/Up 6860 / 65301
HEC Down/Up 111 / 0
Thanks beforehand
(I have also posted this in the TalkTalk forum as I'm not too sure which section is should be in)
