Two locations

I have two locations with broadband connections, both with the same service provider. At present I can access the email server from both sites as they are the same provider.
Question: If I change provider at one site will I lose my ability to access the email server at that site and have to use the dreadful webmail.
I hope somebody can help.

The service provider could limit certain connections to those that originate within their network, e.g. they may only allow e-mail to be sent or read if the requesting machine has an IP address within their block.

It's probably simplest to ask the question of your service provider.

You should be able to access the email via pop/imap however sending would be an issue as some isp's will only allow sending via their smtp server. This can sometimes be worked around by using authenticated smtp and using a different port.
