My brother is having trouble with his wireless network, currently he has a pc with an ethernet connection to a laptop, which is sharing the wirless connection to the BT homehub at the other end of his flat. This works (ish) but is causing problems, and making it difficult for me to diagnose the problem.
Now for as little money as possible (ie free if I can) I want to set something up that will act as a wireless ethernet bridge.
Bridging connections on the laptop creates more hassle than it's worth.
I have a Belkin F5D8633-4 Wireless ADSL router going spare (yes I know it's rubbish, that's why it is going spare) that I note has a WIreless Access Point mode.
I also note that it is not on the list of supported hardware for either DD-WRT or OpenWRT.
Does anyone know if it is possible to use this router as a wireless bridge, or am I going to have to bite the bullet and buy some kit (a wireless adaptor for his computer or a wireless ethernet bridge).
Thanks in advance.
