I have an extension connection from the NTE5C via the data extension part using terminals A and B on the faceplate. The router has been connected to the extension as the master is located on the front exterior wall in an entryway (sort of semi out building) where there are no sockets. There’s basically two front doors with a small porch and here is the master, so it’s not even on the inside of the house in effect.
Would this be considered a Bridge Tap? My sync has just dropped from 80 to 74Mbps with a noise margin of 9db. It has been on the extension for some time.
I’m not sure if using the official NTE5C data extension port is still a bridge tap or this is ok. It’s standard CW1308 from the master to the telephone extension with a filter and the router here. I know it’s not “ideal” but this is what we inherited.
Porch is like this https://ibb.co/873ymrK
