Just received and setup a Tenda 4G03 access point with a SMARY sim.
I was pleasantly surprised that setup was far easier than expected, just pop-in the sim and switch on!
The router's admin interface seems to have quite a lot of features too, but I was wondering if there was a way to access a more advanced configuration on the device?
I tried telnet and ssh but both connections were rejected immediately before even prompting for credentials.
What I'm trying to do is allow any new device to connect to the router/WiFi and local network but only whitelisted devices (or those connected via ethernet) should be able to access the internet via the 4G connection.
What is available in the UI comes close. There is a whitelist MAC filter, but that blocks devices from connecting to the WiFi entirely - I need to allow them to access the local network.
There's also a parental control feature, which has a website allowlist. That is great but the default setting for new (i.e. previously unknown/unseen) devices is to allow everything, whereas I'd rather have the default setting to block access and only allow one or two known devices.
Any thoughts/ideas?
Thanks!
