Utility Warehouse DSL line with Asus 5300 router

[link to this post]

Hi,

I've just swapped over to utility warehouse & have been given a modem. I wish to use my Asus 5300 router instead. It obviously doesn't have the DSL connection point. Is it right that I connect the dsl to the UW modem, connect a lan from the modem to the Asus router and out the UW modem in bridge mode? I made one attempt at this but I think the UW modem was still distributing IP addresses. Had some devices connected with ethernet cable with IP addresses but no internet access.

I assume I need to configure something on the Asus too?

Thanks in advance

Fei
