Subnet??? Speedtouch 580

Hello I am trying to setup Speedtouch 580 (4.3.2.9 Firmware), by default the gateways address is set to 192.168.1.254 I would like to set it to 192.168.0.1 (something I am used to). During the setup I am confronted with three options to fill in:

gateway address e.g. 192.168.0.1

subnet ??????

subnet mask e.g. 255.255.255.0

Can anyone tell me what is meant by subnet and/or what should I fill in the subnet field. All help is greatly appreciated.

192.168.0.0

192.168.0.0 is not a subnet mask.

For that particular one, 255.255.255.0 will suffice.

The OP asked what the subnet was. The answer is correct at 192.168.0.0
