BT HomeHub as Repeater

[link to this post]

I have two HomeHubs both of which work ok. Can I use one of them as a repeater to improve reception upstairs? The one currently in use appears to be able to see the other one if I plug it in and do a search for Wireless Access Points. Presumably if I can, I would need to register any pcs upstairs to the second hub?

Just thought I would let you know that I've still had no luck with this. Upstairs pc finds the 2nd (upstairs, repeater) HH ok and the downstairs HH seems to see the upstairs one. Like you though, there's no connection between the hubs. I've tried adjusting the IP addresses of the repeater in case it was a problem them both having 192.168.1.254 but that didn't help.

Not unless you plan to run an ethernet cable between the two.

Did I think that it would be possible to connect a BYHomehub through the other wireless, is it possible then to tie another router(with access point) to BtHomeHub?

I wasn't sure, your english is extremely difficult to comprehend however you said
In reply to:

the same situation that is described

That situation was linking them through wireless as a repeater.

Andrew.
