Help with printer sharing

I have a BT home hub with a wired connection to my desktop( which is connected to printer via USB) I have a laptop running vista which i want to share the printer with. Have shared printer on desktop, enabled all network sharing etc but laptop cannot find printer. Any help appreciated

Do your user logins have passwords? Vista is very picky about this.. If there are no passwords, then by default Vista will not allow shares..

Apparently, there is a way to turn this off in Vista, but I'm not sure how..

also you have enabled network sharing etc on the laptop, shouldnt make any difference but you know how picky windows can be.
