Vista networking - not showing other pc's

Hi all

I've just got a laptop with vista home premium. I've had a few hiccups getting all my pc's to show up on the network. I have had all 4 pc's show up once and on that occasion, I added the My Docs folder on my Main PC to the favourite links locations on the side of the Windows Explorer of Vista.

Now, even when the other PC's are not showing up on the network page, if I click on the favourite locations link for My Docs on my Main PC - it goes straight to it and I can browse all files and folders with no problem!

Any ideas why the other pc's aren't showing up though? The only things showing are my laptop that I'm on, and the router (DG834G)

BTW - the other pc's have XP Pro/Home on them as the OS.

This problem has cropped up on this forum before. I don't remember if there was a definite solution. Search for Vista networking problem.

Rather than search you could trawl through old posts in this forum after clicking Replies to order them by the most replied to.

I had a similar problem, now sorted throught the KB Article.
