wireless usb adaptor windows 64 bit

[link to this post]

At the moment I have a Belkin USB adaptor on my computer upstairs with windows 7 64 bit using some bodged up drivers. Sometimes it works, other times it don't. so I am thinking it is time to get a new adaptor. But which one and which ones have 64bit drivers? I know they don't have windows 7 drivers yet, but vista drivers will should work ok.

I am also looking at network though the mains, it may be a better idea as the computer will not be moving, the problem is the homeplugs are pretty expensive and the only ones I have seen working are the ones BT supply for their BT vision box and I was not that impressed with them.

So what is the best way to go? I don't want to put a network cable down the stairs.

Thanks people

Adrian using Linux on his laptop and loves it.

BTBroadbandanywhere type package.
