Shine Telecom

[link to this post]

Hi,

I am desperate to set up my parents broadband - they are SHINE TELECOM users, and I'm attempting to set up using their new BELKIN G WIRELESS Modem.

I am no expert so it's taking some time - I need a VPI and a VCI number.

I also need the Encapsulated information (VCMUX or IIC)

Can anyone help?

Many thanks Robert.,

It all depends on what the Shine BB settings are; every ISP is different.

They need to find out from Shine their router settings, or they may have been provided with a CD to do this, or even the router may have been set up already with the Shine BB settings.

1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU BB => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU BB

Have you tried these settings (there are others):-

Multiplexing Method > VC

VPI > 0

VCI > 38

If that doesn't work you will need to get them from the ISP ...... link

Try VPI 0, VCI 35, and VCMUX. If that doesn't work try IIC.

The OP wrote IIC not sure about that perhaps the OP meant LLC
