Is what possible?

What are the two wireless devices? It looks like you are connecting them wired to your PC. Is one a wireless ADSL modem and the other an Access Point?

Some words are needed as diagram represents many options.

Are you saying you want to receive a wireless signal into a PC, and then repeat it back out again?

Devices like http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop/Reviews.asp?Pro... would require no need for a PC.

No, If the Alfa got married to the Linksys, the off spring wouldn't look like a computer.

I assume that your diagram is a wireless access point cabled to a PC and also cabled to a wireless router.

In which case, yes, it is possible, but requires two network ports in the PC.

Is it sensible?

That would depend heavily on what you are trying to achieve.

It would be better to state what you are trying to achieve, and what hardware/software you already have at your disposal, as we may be able to come up with a better, simpler, more sensible, solution.

If my assumption is wrong, then I need more information to say if it is even possible.

me and my neighbor are sharing the same connection, but the main dsl & modem at his house

the DSL line connected to echolife modem at my friend pc, and in the other side i have alfa wireless device connected to the echolife modem through wireless connection,
in the same PC am using the alfa device theres a linksys modem (WAG200G) , i only receive wireless connection but i need to know if i can share the same connection through my pc to linksys so i can supply the wireless at home , so the map will be :
echolife > pc > alfa > pc > linksys

i done it before but with wired connection using the local network, but this wired got catted off and i brought the alfa cause its a long story to wire a cable again ..

and i was trying so hard to link between the connection i got from alfa to linksys once and got it worked .. but i had to reset the linksys and could`t do it again!

i changed the local ip address of the linksys since the echolife use the same as the linksys
echolife ip address : 192.168.1.1
linsys : 192.168.2.1

need help guys .. or what shall i do to share the connection at my place

Lets try and straighten this out

1. Friend has a wireless router connected to an ADSL line
2. You are using a wireless bridge device to connect this to a PC
3. You want to use bridging to convert this to Ethernet to feed a Linksys router
4. The linksys router will supply wireless to other computers in your house

The big problem with your setup is that one PC has to be on to run the network, and these setups are never that simple to keep running

A piece of kit like http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop/ShopDetail.asp?... can support four devices via Ethernet, if you want to create your own wireless network connect one of these ethernet ports to something like http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop/ShopDetail.asp?...

Then no need for a PC to be switched on, only ever needed when configuring the devices

Hi, to connect your Linksys router it should be on the same network 'IP Schema' as the Echolife router. Change the third octet and forth octet in the Linksys router IP address.

Echolife ip address: 192.168.1.1

Linksys ip address:192.168.1.2

Not strictly true, they are seperated by a device that will possibly separate the networks anyway (dependent upon settings used)

What is important is that the linksys will want it's DHCP server turned off, as either the PC or the echolife router will be trying to issue IP addresses to the network, and two DHCP servers can cause problems, especially if they have an overlapping pool of addresses, or pools from different subnets.

However, I think the best advice so far is that given by MrSaffron.
