Hi,
I play quite a bit of online gaming (Xbox) etc, and have my Hub (version 1.5) around 2 feet from the main socket, linked to my 360 and other peripherals via a wireless network adapter. I have the Hub connected to another Hub (version 1.0) as a repeater for when we're upstairs and wanting to have the best connection as the signal drops due to walls etc etc.
Recently I've been noticing a decrease in the connectivity to Party chat and joining online games in general on Xbox Live. I've checked the wireless connection to my 360, and found i've only got the 3 green bars, which is generally 4. So as i have done in the past, i change the wirless channel to assist.
The problem i have and ultimately my question is; a neighbour must have a Netgear router. I use the inSSIDer software to ascertain what channels others have so i don't interfere with their connection. Everytime is seem to hav this problem, this Netgear appears. It must be switched off at the mains when they don't use it, however when they want to use it, turn it back and with it selecting a new wireless signal, and it always seems to interfere with my Hub. I never have any other problems with the neighbours Hubs, whether they're the new Hub 2's or whatever, just this damn Netgear.
Is this a known problem and how can i resolve it. I'm considering shifting from BT altogether but have had very few problems in the past.
Cheers
Paul
