If one has a wired router connected to a BT phone line which is working as it should via Broadband with a stable connection to an ISP (for example AOL) what would happen if one tried to connect up a second wired router to another phone socket using the same ISP with the same account details.
Would the whole lot crash and mess the connection at the exchange or would it work but split the connection between the 2 routers but work normally, my instinct would be that something would go 'haywire'!
(My Netgear DG834GT is connected full time via AOL BB and I wondered what the result would be if I plugged another router into the same phone-line for testing without unplugging the 834DG.)
